Question

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the Rainforest, the Ocean, or the Desert? With this activity you will be researching one of the environments listed above. After the research, you will be able to see what it would be like to live in one of the environments.
 

Task

You will use the resources available below to research an environment. After choosing an environment, you will describe the environment, the animals, the plants and the weather within the environment. You will also draw a life-like picture of the environment, one animal and two plants. After completing your research, you will present your findings and drawings to the class.
 

The Process

1) Choose an environment listed below to research.
2) Write down the name of your environment.
3) Describe what your environment is like and where your environment is
    located in the world.
4) List 3 animals. Describe what they eat, where they sleep, and what
    they look like.
5) List 3 plants. Describe what it looks like and where it grows.
6) Describe the weather found in your environment. Make sure to mention
    the amount of rainfall and temperatures. (If you are doing oceans, you
    can choose to do either weather or currents.) 
7) Choose 1 animal and draw a life-like picture of the animal.
8) Choose 2 plants and draw a life-like picture of the plants.
9) Draw a life-like picture of your environment. (Make sure to include the
    animals, plants and weather in your drawing.)
10)After you have researched your environment, you will present your
     findings and drawings to the class.

Conclusion

 After researching your environment, you will present your findings and drawings to the class. By completing this Web Quest, you will learn great detail about one environment. You will also learn about the other environments from your classmate's presentations.
